The outdoors lifts our spirits and provides authentic opportunities to experience the natural world, challenge our bodies, and engage in spontaneous scientific pursuits. THANK YOU to our amazing families who support the tremendous learning that takes place outside by sending your children to school wearing rain boots, splash pants, and waterproof jackets! We experienced surprisingly beautiful November weather this week. Although the temperature will inevitably drop, we will continue to be outside. Please continue to send appropriate outdoor clothing and extra dry clothes.
Wednesday and Thursday were warm, wet days in the forest! The children thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful colours of autumn, the sound of snapping branches as we walked, the feel of raindrops on our heads, and the earthy smells in the air. The children spent their time climbing trees, swinging from branches, throwing stones in the creek, mixing potions, tracking deer, dragging logs, building branch structures, and offering each other helping hands. We love the children’s inquisitive nature, generous souls, and resourcefulness!
