Well we have been having a lot of fun filling our sac à dos up with school supplies as well as some wacky things that Mme has tried to put in; however, the children have told me that they are ''Trop grand(e) !" This activity started with a song entitled, "Dans mon sac à dos" (to the tune of Frère Jacques) and ended with the children using fine motor skills to cut a paper backpack, decorate the outside and using lines for stitching around the perimeter, printing their name to glue on the "bag", identifying objects that go into the bag, and gluing objects that are too big to fit into the bag on the back. They did an excellent job demonstrating their comprehension.
More recently, we have been reading a series, Pat le chat, about a cool chat who doesn't let small things bring him down. He just keeps on walking and singing his song. This is a fun way to teach children about feelings and perseverance! We created our own Pat le chat pictures, influenced by the book, Pat le chat, J'adore mes souliers blancs. The children were very creative in how they chose to colour Pat and his shoes.
You will also find some photos from Wacky Hair Day/Movember. A couple of weekend's ago, some of the FAH staff did a fun 5km walk/run to raise awareness and money for men's health.
December 3rd (6-8pm) is our Winter Event at FAH. Thank you so much for those of you who participated in the basket raffle basket. It is overflowing with great craft supplies! Merci !!!
Have a great night!
