Since September we have been learning French vocabulary for parts of the body by singing songs and poems. We continued this learning with a pumpkin song, La citrouille, by decorating a real pumpkin as we sing, and by creating pumpkin artwork.
The artwork was a fun way to reinforce this vocabulary along with developing their fine motor skills through cutting and pasting. Math skills too were addressed as we discussed how we can create triangles (des triangles) from a square (un carré) or a rectangle (un rectangle).
Please remember to dress your child for the weather. Now with below zero weather, the children need to have warm feet, hands, heads and bodies. We will continue to spend a large amount of time outside, even if it is cold or lightly raining. The children have so much fun outside and we want them to be able to be warm and enjoy! Merci !
Have a lovely evening!
