We had another amazing day. Today we began our routine of splitting the class up into 2 groups. These groups are based on friendships, personality, and compatibility. We find that splitting the classroom up into 2 groups in the morning allows for better connections between the children and the teachers, as well as reduces the number of children in one area at one time. Our focus today was introducing the children to the concept of filling each others' "bucket" (e.g. respecting our friends, helping each other, being kind), as well as learning song French songs and poems.
We do spend quite a bit of time outside and we thank you for dressing your child for the weather; especially with the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Please remember to send in a pair of indoor shoes if you have not already done so. Merci !
We would like to also thank you for completing and returning the forms so promptly.
FYI...We did not bake potatoes today, as the day just seemed to fly by. We will definitely do this either this week or next.
Please note that Scholastic Book forms are sent home on a monthly basis and there is no obligation to purchase books. If you do choose to purchase books through Scholastic, the classroom teachers receive credits to purchase books and supplies for the classroom. Furthermore, these books are generally cheaper than purchasing them in a store. Scholastic Book orders will be due on September 15th. Merci !
Please feel free to come and visit the classroom and the teachers for our Open House on Thursday, September 18th from 6-7pm.
It looks like we will have a sunny evening! YOUPI ! Have an awesome night!
