We had a wonderful day! It started out cool and windy, but that did not stop us from venturing through the forest and to one of the local parks. We try to make democratic decisions about where we want to go during our outdoor play and today half of the group wanted to go to a park and the other half wanted to play in the forest. So we did both!
Along the way we saw a few dogs and noticed maple keys, lilacs, and bees. What we really looked at today was the different shaped maple tree leaves, as well as the different sizes of their keys. We wonder if the older a tree gets the bigger their keys become? This is something that we will have to investigate!
Mme Tipler recently adopted two cats (a father cat and his 10 month old kitten) and she has been telling the children stories about how they have been adapting to their new home, what they think of the dog, and some of their silly adventures.
We ended the day with a lively gym class, where we listened to 80's tunes and either played soccer, danced, or played on the scooter boards and hula hoops.
Have a great night!
