The snow is melting! Please remember to send your child to school with extra socks and mittens so they can keep dry throughout the day.
Our class has been really interested in predators. We have talked about cheetah, lions, and the great horned owl. I wonder where the children will lead us with this new curiosity. We have been learning French verbs to express how these animals would move to attack their prey. Non-fiction books have been brought into the classroom for the children to explore. One student was wondering about a bright colourful bird that eats bees. Hmm? We will have to look that one up.
Crazy Hair Day - Friday, March 28th - Be creative with your child's hair! If your child has very short hair, consider a wig or decorating a hat in a fun and crazy way!
Trip to the Maple Sugar Shack & Pioneer Village - It is so great when children can experience first hand how maple sap is collected, cooked, and made into syrup. We are trying to organize a trip to a maple sugar shack on Tuesday, April 1st. Westfield offers this experience along with learning some things about pioneers and how they lived and came together to build homes, businesses, schools, and communities. More details will follow shortly.
Bon soir !
