We used Q-tips instead of brushes to build fine motor skills. The Q-tips held the paint very well and left smooth lines on the tin foil. We noticed that the students paid great attention to detail using the Q-tips. They worked very hard experimenting with colours and designs. Bravo!
This week, we painted tin foil Easter eggs. Painting on foil was a great alternative to painting on standard white paper. The surface was smooth, so the paint danced across the foil, reflecting the light in the room. The colours really popped off the page and the foil seemed to sparkle behind the children’s designs. The students noticed that they could see a hazy reflection of the themselves in the foil while they painted.
