During our forest walk/play today, one of the children notice a huge rock with moss and grass growing on it. We talked about how the planet Earth is a large rock. If we dug way down, we would come to hard rock. On this rock is layers of various types of sand and soil, where plants grow, insects and animals (people too) live. This rock is like a mini planet! "It has bugs and insects living on it too!"
We decided that our check point rock is like an asteroid, because it does not have any living things growing or living on it. The golf ball we found is like a moon!
Progress Reports (Communication of Learning) are going home on November 20th. Interview times will be available to discuss your child's progress. You will need your child's OEN (Ontario Education Number) to sign up for a time online. You will receive your child's OEN in their sac de communication. Please stay tuned!
Have a wonderful night!
