Well we need to get our video message out to Léo le lion as soon as possible. It seems that he has landed on Mars and is in real need of our help. We also watched a video of Chris Hadfield, a Canadian astronaut who worked on the International Space Station (ISS), and we learned how it is really important that the food that astronauts eat on the ISS does not create a lot of mess. Bread creates a lot of crumbs and this could get into the machinery, so astronauts bring tortillas up into space to make their sandwiches. As we ate our lunch, we watched how Chris Hadfield made a peanut and honey sandwich, then we listened to a song that he sang while in outer space.
Although it was a chilly day we spent a lot of time enjoying the snow as we torpedoed down the hill on our toboggans. We continue to learn more about space and today we created our own space apparel too (jet packs, oxygen tanks, astronaut helmets, and telescopes). Some of the children even created aliens.
