We had our first Math Centres activity with some very generous parent volunteers. Again, thank you for providing us with your time. We would certainly not be able to do these kinds of activities without you. For one hour the children (in groups of 5-6) rotated around math centres for 10 minutes of group math play. Each month we plan on setting up different types of centres with parents running one centre. We feel that is important in so many ways. Firstly, it provides parents the opportunity to feel part of the school community and interact with their child at school. Secondly, it teaches children how to work together and follow directions. Thirdly, children learn new games/skills that they use during free play. Lastly, it is just so fun! Stay tuned for next month's activity.
Next week we will be making gingerbread cookies! MIAM !
Have a fantastic weekend!
Reminders:
Pottery-to-Go will be coming home next week (Monday & Tuesday). Please take a look in your child's backpack to reduce the changes of it getting broken.
No school on Friday
It is cold outside, so please ensure that the children are dressed warmly: warm & waterproof mittens; warm socks; extra socks and mittens; neck warmer or scarf; snow pants; warm winter coat. MERCI !
