Merci to all of the parent volunteers who have been coming in to help with the classroom activities. You have no idea how helpful you are! MERCI ! MERCI ! MERCI !
We are creating a book entitled, "Je peux..." (I can...). We have been taking pictures of children doing various activities and then creating sentences together. They are really enjoying this activities and once finished, we will print it and add it to our library. Bravo, les amis !
November 15th Scientist in the School will be coming to present, Marvellous Machines. If you are available to help with this morning, please send us an email.
Pottery-To-Go was a big success. It was so great to see how creative the children were with their painting! Photos will be posted shortly.
Both groups spend a lot of time outside in the forest. Here are some pictures from today's group. They have such imaginations when venturing in the "Enchanted Forest". The branches became boats, fire pits, antlers, drums, groceries, and so much more. We have found that the children are so much more imaginative when given natural and simple things to play with. A metal car will always be a car, but a stick....well! A stick can be anything you want it to be!
In math, the children are really understanding the different types of patterns we can make (A,B,C; A,B,A,B; AA,BB). Allow your child to set the table (fork, plate, knife, spoon) and see patterns elsewhere in your home (tiles, table clothes, wallpaper, sheets, etc...).
The letter of the week is "C". Look for things around the house that begin with "C".
We are also continuing to learn how to sew buttons and tried crocheting too! Please continue to send in recyclables, fabric, and old shirts too!
We truly had a great day! One of the best!
Bonne nuit !
